Deacons
Traditionally within Baptist churches, Deacons are servants and leaders who work behind the scenes to guide church administration, budget, committees and activities. BCBC deacons not only meet those responsibilities, but reach out to church members on a weekly basis. They are committed to visiting shut-ins, the sick and elderly, as well as those needing encouragement due to life’s challenges. BCBC deacons include 36 men elected by fellow church members to serve a three-year term. When needed, they write amendments for the church constitution and present it to the church body for approval.
