Brushy Creek Baptist Church :: Taylors, SC

          The roots of this program can be traced back more than 50 years at Brushy Creek.  The program has evolved over the years to include weekly studies and an annual Fun Night, where kids play games to reinforce their learning and fun together.  However, the goal is still the same: to help children grades 4-6 become familiar with the books of the Bible, verses and key passages.   During Bible drill activities, kids will learn how the Bible is put together, how the Bible talks about issues they can use in their daily life, and how to find specific stories and verses when needed.   Teachers also encourage the children to memorize and recite key verses.  The Lifeway Curriculum runs 3 years and is presented in 3 independent cycles, so children can join at any time during 4th through 6th grade.  By “graduation,” children will have learned 75 verses, 30 key passages and all 66 books of the Bible.
