Women's Recreation
Dozens of women have been suiting up to play and coach various sports for BCBC since the 1960’s. Members find this is a great way to enjoy Christian fellowship in each other’s company on the field, on the links and in the new gymnasium (ARC) on campus. While softball and basketball are the primary sports, you’ll also find the Women’s Ministry putting together other occasionial outings.
Basketball: Dozens of women play for BCBC in the Wade Hampton Church League that runs from December through February. Approximately half of our games are at BCBC in the ARC, the other half are at nearby churches. You do not have to be a church member to play on one of the teams, which are put together according to age. If you are interested in playing during the 2007-08 season, please contact David Nabors at 864-244-5075.
Softball: During the spring, Brushy Creek softball teams participate in the Fairview League located at
Upward Basketball & Cheerleading: If coaching and working with children is your specialty, consider joining the fantastic Upward Basketball & Cheerleading program at Brushy Creek. Both boys and girls start practicing one night a week in December, and then start playing Saturday games in January. Many coaches find their love of the sport all over again, as they teach youngsters how to play in a Christian environment. All practices and games are in the ARC.
