"I know it is hard to go into a place where you don't know anybody, but if you are willing to put in some effort on your end, you may begin a step in your life that will change it forever.  I know it did mine!"

David Edwards - USC Upstate

So you’re on your own now and expected to “act like an adult.”  There’s no better way to find out how to do that, than to have fun reviewing all those Bible stories you read as a kid.  We like to call it Vintage Sunday School.  Members take old classic stories and apply them to this new stage in life, exploring how they relate to your post high school and college lifestyle.  Our Sunday morning studies also involve a time of fellowship. We get together for breakfast before diving into the Bible.  Afterward, we have a time of prayer. We meet at 9:15 am in The Vault.

We also participate in mission projects during the year.  Recently we’ve /files/College/David and Austin.jpgdistributed Easter Baskets to needy children in Spartanburg, worked in area soup kitchens and delivered Christmas presents to a home in Greenville.  We also support friends going on mission trips, recently assisting to send members to New York City, Panama, Mexico and Africa.   Outside of class we are quite active, informally getting together with friends during the week as time, class and jobs permit.  You do not have to be a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church to participate.  Contact College & Career Minister Angela Carter with any questions.
