So you’re on your own now and expected to “act like an adult.” There’s no better way to find out how to do that, than to have fun reviewing all those Bible stories you read as a kid. We like to call it Vintage Sunday School. Members take old classic stories and apply them to this new stage in life, exploring how they relate to your post high school and college lifestyle. Our Sunday morning studies also involve a time of fellowship. We get together for breakfast before diving into the Bible. Afterward, we have a time of prayer. We meet at 9:15 am in The Vault.
We also participate in mission projects during the year. Recently we’ve distributed Easter Baskets to needy children in

Some find being single again in middle-age frightening, others find it invigorating. No matter your stance, in this class, you’ll find a group that understands what it’s like to balance bills, a job, aging parents, possibly kids and dating again at a point in life when so many others have a spouse for support. The singles here are survivors, social, innovative and energetic. They spend each week reaching out to each other and the community. Each Sunday morning, they come together for a time of prayer and then dive into a topical study lead by Pat Bishop. The class holds monthly Salt & Light social gatherings to develop strong and lasting friendships. They also assist with our Single Parent Ministry that helps single parents with home repairs, moving help, mentoring of children and Buddy Groups. One of Brushy Creek Baptist Church’s most dynamic mission projects meeting immediate needs is rooted in this class: the Angel Food Ministry. Members find by reaching out to help others, they too are on the road to healing. Class member Martha Goodlett at martha1026@gmail.com would love to answer any questions you may have. You don’t have to be a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church to attend.

Regardless of our circumstances in life we never outgrow the need to deepen our relationship with the Lord. Being divorced or widowed is not something any body plans on, BUT it happens. Single Friends is a group of divorced or widowed individuals who realize the importance of continuing to serve the Lord, grow closer to Him, and assist others in that process also. Through service projects, mission trips, and just plain "fun time" together, individuals are able to serve others and be reminded of our "true Value".
