Rescue
Jesus said to go make disciples of all the people of the world. He empowered us, by His Spirit, to be witnesses. We chose the word
rescue rather than evangelism for a variety of reasons. Our biggest reason was the fact that the church has become so accustomed to hearing the word “evangelism” that it has lost it’s sense of urgency. But the mission of taking the good news to the world is certainly one that demands urgency. Jesus himself said, “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already…” In other words, he doesn’t have to wait until he dies, he is condemned even while he is still breathing. Paul told the Ephesians that a man who is without Christ is a dead man. The gospel is capable of giving men hope. It affords them life. That is the business we are in – the business of rescuing people who are condemned, of giving them the hope of life eternal.Click here to see ways you can help use Rescue.
